They are your friends, your comrades who you befriend and go into the world with.
If you dont understand soul. And are even grasping at slandering me with "zoomer" then again, you didnt understand Gen 1, didnt see the Kanto anime or weren't there for pokemania. Pikachu version explains this plain and simple.
