You've got to be kidding me... I've been doing great online in rated battles -I'm in the low 1800's-, but tonight I went on a sixteen game losing streak before closing my 3DS in rage. A few games I lost because of stupid mistakes, but most of them my opponent seemed to magically predict what I was going to do. I don't keep up to date on pokemon hax, so forgive me for being a bit slow, but I feel like everything has been explained. Fuck, am I pissed.
This is absolutely unacceptable. How dumb does Gamefreak think the autistic (see 'Manchild') portion of their fanbase is? Did they think they wouldn't figure this stuff out with ease if they didn't secure it? They were actually DUMB enough to send unencrypted data over a network that is supposed to be used for competitive battling?
To paraphrase Cortana from Halo: Combat Evolved,
"I've hacked into the opposing trainer's Battlenet. They're actually broadcasting tactical data on unencrypted channels. We should show them who they're dealing with. Trainer Brian? I'm going to use your laptop's wifi system to monitor their chatter."
Seriously, at this point you'd be better off on B/W2 if you want to play competatively with your 3/DS. Showdown is also an option... but shit. I can't wrap my head around how bad of a fuck-up this is.
