A random Dawn conspiracy theory. Burmy is the Bagworm Pokemon with the hidden ability Overcoat.
Bagworm and sleeping bag.
You see Dawn using a sleeping bag all throughout the Sinnoh anime.
Overcoat: A Pokémon with Overcoat does not take damage from the weather conditions sandstorm and hailstorm.
Dawn wears an overcoat in Platinum. Even with her legs exposed, weather does not faze her.
Piplup ran away from Dawn in the first DP episode. Burmy in plant cloak form evolves into a Wormadam that is Bug/GRASS type. What do water types hate? Grass. That's why Piplup ran away.
Burmy only has 4 moves by level up. One of them is hidden power. Who else has hidden power? Unown. In the 3rd Pokemon movie, Unown makes all sorts of illusions, and that includes humans. Dawn is a Burmy that used hidden power to become the human that we all fawn over.
