I see the term "cookie cutter team" thrown around a lot - what exactly is meant by that? Obviously I get the metaphor (lol) but it doesn't make sense... I mean, if a Pokemon is good, why would you not want/look down on those with it on a team?
Is it just "being different for the sake of being different"?
I'm not trying to be a dick at all; I'm just asking honestly as to why many people's opinion is that Smogon is oppressive/incorrect/dum/etc.
