Come the fuck on, as if it wasn't obvious enough. Think about it, why would they remove it, knowing they might eventually NEED those icons later on? Even if it were for either starter evolutions or just some random ass pokemon, they'd still need those icons for much later and keeping them would make things easier to manage around the site.
