ok, so I just need to talk to someone about this situation cuz everyone I talk to about this irl is a fuckin moron. I'll start by laying down what the controversy was.
So at E3 2019 Nintendo showed off their new Pokemon sword/shield game blah blah blah. Well, in one of those videos we got a new water trainer named Nessa. Now the controversy lies with Nessa being that she was the first non white/asian pokemon waifu in the series. So alright cool a more darker skinned Pokemon waifu Im down with that being dark skinned myself. But as soon as Nintendo revealed her every artist on Deviant art/Twitter/whatever else was making drawing her with a more white skinned tone dare I say *whitewashing*.
Now the fucking problem with this is you guys have had every waifu in the series up until this point either white or asian or of white skin tone basically, and the minute we finally get a black Pokmeon waifu you guys have to take it away from us by whitewashing her. Then in a hilarious ironic fucking twist you guys accuse US as being racist by saying *oh why are you complaining about her race bro, that's reverse racism*. Give me a fucking break at just how moronic that retort is. I'm not saying this is the biggest issue in the world, because it's not. It's that if we complain about you guys whitewashing her suddenly were the racists, and we need to just shut up and get back in line.
So to end this little rant. Yeah ur right, this was a really stupid situation that happened to Nessa. It was hilarious how the minute we complain about you guys changing the race to a stated black waifu, you guys accuse us of being the racists. I wonder how this situation would of turned out if it was reversed? If when Sonia was revealed and then every artist started turning her more black, How would you guys react then?
