My first game was Pokemon Blau. I was 7 and Deutsch not my native language so I had no idea what the fuck is going on. It was all about beating random trainers and Pokemon until I reached the Rock Tunnel. I didn't know you need Flash to light the tunnel so I was moving through it by hitting the walls for the *bump* sound. Also seeing the bluish shadow of the walls helped a little.

I just don't think it represents pokemon. Pokemon has always been a series about happy, light adventure. There's dark sad moments too but they don't represent the series.
