In fact I won't be surprise if Pokemon pulls a "Regular Show" where Ash marries a nameless " Beauty" from Pokemon Masters whom he met off screen during his adulthood.
I wonder, would it be really a bad ending? Some shipper will complain about their shipping not being canon but they will complain no matter which shipping become canon since shipping is purely subjective. I can see general fandom accepting this ending and even showing jealousy toward Ash marrying Beauty.
