A nice fire enthusiast girl is perfect to me. Also would give reasons to use and make more fireworks sprites for her town. Since there was talk about it being a festival of sorts.
But it seems like more people are pushing for all these characters to have to have things to do with the plot, or how they have this elaborate side quest. I think it would be nice to have a few gym leaders that aren't so detailed or have so much back story.
