OP, realize that nature doesn't give two shits about what you're whining about. While there are gender differences in animals, it mostly boils down to size. Animals like tigers, dogs and bears are both bulky/masculine regardless of gender, and to see that in Pokemon isn't a surprise. I had no problems with my Adamant female Totodile in SoulSilver. With females, you get a chance at breeding egg moves. You better keep her.
