I can't think of a sequence in any other Pokemon game that more succinctly captures the feeling of being on an adventure. Ultimately, though, I think I'd have to go with Route 120. The pouring rains and the hidden ruins are what put it over for me.
Seriously, if the water were *somehow* broken up or didn't take up a full 25% of the game, Hoenn would be the best region hands-down. Such a bummer that they dropped the ball close to the home stretch
although Victory Road was pretty great.>>38015241As someone who started with Gen 2, this one's got the most raw nostalgia for me. I very clearly remember how psyched I was to finally have all eight badges and be on my way to the Pokemon League.
