Journeys finally gave it to us but it completely blundered the execution, just like it blundered 99% of the things it did.
Shitty animation. Journeys fanfic battlebot personality-less but somehow Champion-tier team feating Shillcario instead of DP team where we could have had Torterra redemption and Gible + Blaze Infernape wearing down and beating Mega Garchomp together, diminishing its meaning and weight by making it just a semis battle where Ash and Cynthia went "hurr I want to fight Dande durr" like if they barely knew one another instead of focusing on one another and their history, etc.
Everyone wanted to see Ash defeat Cynthia, it was easily on the top three most wanted battles of the Ashnime behind maybe only Ash vs Alan runback, but the execution was fucking ass.
