Addressing point 1, ANCIENT PROPHECY bullshit is the most tepid way to introduce bullshit like this. They had the all that in-game Sundial lore that tied to evolution and they even addressed it in the anime, but instead of taking the opportunity to present the form naturally, they pulled out the MUH PROPHECY bullshit right after the fucking evolution. Lazy bullshit
And point 2: Looking like Ash is NOT a good thing. I would've rather an actual mega that did its own thing instead of relying on fucking ASH for design choices.
But Greninja is still my fave because i don't let the anime influence my opinion. They definitely did him dirty though
