Zoroark was teased with a silhouette and then revealed with Zorua around February 2010, and then we got the starters in May. Gen VI kicked off with the starters and the cover legendaries in January 2013, Gen VII had a sizzle reel with no Pokémon other than an incomplete and partially hidden model of Pikipek in February 2016 and then starter reveals in May, and Gen VIII began with the starters in February 2019and then a long period of silence until late May/early June. In every new generation’s case, information was sparse or completely absent following a late winter announcement until the monthly release schedule began in late spring. We are right on schedule, and I’d be shocked if we make it to the middle of June without a big trailer for Scarlet and Violet.
