What's most infuriating is that the characters don't seem to care that they live in the Pokemon world. These guys could be racing on their dragons, entering competitions, fighting powerful villain organizations, pursuing the mythical black Rayquaza, visiting exotic lands on their airship, etc, but no. There is an episode where Roy is in the middle of a forest full of wonderous creatures he could be interacting with... and ignore the worlds around him and stares at at his tablet to watch a livestream. And another episode where the airship visits a new city and the heroine would rather stay in her cabin and watch Youtube than go outside and see the sights (not that there is anything to see really given that they are all the same copy-pasted town). Why care about the adventure if the heroes don't care? And then in the latest episode, the adults are sitting around the kitchen table bored out of their minds, staring at tablets, complaining about internet interruptions.
