Imagine that you went on a hike through an internet meetup.
It turns out to be a really shitty hike, on a linear path, with no good scenery.
You complain on the internet about how you wish there would be more effort put into these hikes. Then somebody starts getting really flustered about how you should be grateful somebody is doing hikes in the first place.
You acknowledge that discontent can hurt the motivation of a hike planner, but also that it's the best way to bring your dreams of a damn good hike into reality. While the other person tells you that this is why nobody goes on hikes anymore and to shut the fuck up. And then you tell them you don't know what real hiking is and that they're barely a hiker. So you go on a hike by yourself even though it kind of sucks but at least it's on a really good hiking trail you've been to before. And the other person just goes on shitty hikes believing that they're amazing hikes. And that person is the #1 hike critic in the world so you have good reason to want them to fall into a ditch and never hike anymore. So you go online and complain on 4chan.
