That could work as a oneshot thingy.
Make it so that BB has a school trip to Sinnoh or something before the ID events. Or maybe Cynthia visits BB for whatever reason.
It would play out very similarly to Cynthia sweeping Paul but unlike with Paul who just plain didn't listen to her Kieran would just go full denial and double down and maybe have him have a schizo meltdown too because he knows she's right but doesn't wanna admit it.
