>>46392442>Anon, Nintnedo funds EVERYTING Pokémon-relatred Game Freak do.They haven't been the sole funder of Pokemon games in years and years now. They do pony up money, sure, but they aren't the only ones.
>They DO exret pressureWord of god says otherwise. Explicitly.
>new Gens every three years boost sales better than how their own shitThis is some delusion right here, it's undeniable that new Pokemon moves hardware but Nintendo is more than capable of supporting their hardware themselves and a Pokemon title hasn't been #1 on their platforms since the GBA. SWSH is getting destroyed by two Nintendo titles and edged out by two more on the Switch, with a game two years its senior crawling up its ass for that #5 spot. They are not hurting for software sales and they're not even getting the lion's share of money made off the IP.
>But sure, keep thinking it's not Nintendo driving GF forward at this clip.It is not consistent at all with their history of handling IPs, GF themselves said you're wrong, and frankly your theory hinges on the ridiculous idea that Pokemon is the only profitable franchise for them and that they need those yearly releases to stay afloat.
Just fucking think for two seconds, use some basic logic. If Pokemon is the one outlier among all of Nintendo's IPs in the way it's handled, then maybe it's not Nintendo dictating how it's handled.
Also wanna point out we know for a fact that GF coordinates development with other branches of the franchise. Specifically marketing, merchandising, even anime production. And they do it all so it can all get rolled out just in time for the new generation. The anime is probably the biggest contributing factor, it's expected to roll out a new episode every week for the rest of time and they probably don't want to do filler seasons again like they did with the Battle Frontier in AG.
There is more going on with Pokemon's development than just the interaction between GF and Nintendo.
