I judge my food independently. If I think my food tastes good, it tastes good. It doesn't matter if I made my food out of sawdust and dirt (pokegen) or I made it out of finely aged beef.
I've studied many food science books and I do my best to adhere to their teachings. If the results are exactly the same(READ they have the same "nutritional value") I will do what takes less time assuming the monetary cost isn't too high.
I'm a strategist, not a breeder. I can read the reports from the underlings that figured out how to make food, then use it.
