SV gets points for at least trying do what Swooshie promised and breathe new life into Pokemon with new models and animations like letting Blastiose use its canons and finally remembering how Typhlosion's flame works, and character writing is surprisingly competent, but considering it has a worse level curve than gen 2 and worse glitches than Gen 1 and even lacking the most basic RPG staples like the inside of buildings, its one step forward 2 steps back.
