>>11947356She pretty much became the reliable backup that supported the rest of my bros when they were struggling since I could afford to let her stay underleveled and still get the job done. Game progressed normally with me quite happily using her sparingly until we were 3/4ths through the game, and after another well deserved level up she was suddenly evolving. I considered pressing B, but I knew the evolution would help keep her from falling off statwise so lategame and becoming part Steel Type wouldn't hurt so much either. So I let her evolve. That was a foolish mistake. While the stats were nice at first, she started getting KO'd by opponents that normally wouldn't have given her trouble due to her new weaknesses. Her old ones weren't much of a problem because they were more rarely encountered types that the rest of my team could handle. There was another problem too. I hated her new appearance. No longer did I find her cute, sporting that sickening look I've hated for so long. I wished I could go back and choose not to evolve her, but as you know there's no way to do this so I did the only thing I could. I slapped her into a box before I could end up hating what she became more, and I selected release. Now that Riolu is just a memory, one that showed me sometimes evolution isn't everything. I like to think sometimes she found a nice trainer who could like her the way she is now or that she's thinking of me.
