Pic related is my definition of soul. The cave itself kinda sucks, as do many caves in sinnoh due to lack of variety. However this, along with ravaged path represent a sentiment in design philosophy that I truly love. They didn't NEED to do anything with these caves, they could've made them literal hallways and it would've been fine, nobody would've cared, they're functionally SUPPOSED to be hallways. Yet they both have entire back or basement sections with valuable hidden items that you can return to after getting surf, oreburgh gate even has trainers in it's basement floor. Like, they really fucking tried with these games, there's so much to discover, it really shows that when making these games they added stuff for the sake of improving the experience, not just what they thought they needed to do
