>>55486351>the designs look like fucking dogshit.Sure, not all of them are winners, but plenty of them are rad as fuck. Mega Beedrill alone mogs most new Pokemon designs
>i want the actual mon itself to get a buffPokemon rarely, if ever, actually buffs/nerfs Pokemon. Evolution doesn't really count since it's introducing a brand new Pokemon rather than improving the existing one
>gamefreak will mostly give them to special snowflake shillmons and the mons that really needed it were in the minorityBut that's not unique to Mega Evolution. The other gimmicks (sans Terastalization) also lean heavily towards older Pokemon, specifically the ones from Gen 1. I agree that more obscure mons should be buffed, but what's on offer isn't bad. Plus, new game means new Megas, and with the Gen 1 mons already given theirs I'd bet money that the new ones would be more diversified
>predictability is a bad thing because it means the game has less varietySo I take it you think Chess is a bad game then, yes? Because that game is older than your grandfather and it's been solved since your dad was born. Don't be obtuse
>no that just means side game devs have shit tasteOr, stay with me, YOU are the one with shit taste, and the side game devs are actually based for knowing what the best gimmick is and keeping it around whilst throwing away all the other shit that no one cares about
>most pokemon get nothing. the other gimmicks are also unbalanced power creep cancer but at least every mon can use themYes, but you know damn well that only a few of them are worth using them on. Why let Furfrou use a Z-Move when you can have someone more powerful use it instead? Why Terastalize Uxie when Annihilape benefits more from the extra power? Why use Dynamax when Gigantimax mons are stronger/tankier on average and get unique moves/buffs? Giving the cool power only to select mons is more honest than trying to pretend that everyone benefits from a new gimmick equally
