The AI clicks random buttons with no rhyme or reason behind them. It's definitely not input reading as far as I can tell and this electric team of statblocks and coverage moves is more effective than some of the most dilatingly devious AI+field combinations in trannymods of rebornlikes. This shouldn't be anywhere nearly as effective as it is but ultimately it creates a fight that's very difficult to outplay or 'script' your way through because the AI does random shit each time with a few caveats.

With my team, if they pick Bug Buzz, I just die because even the NVE Bug Buzz muscles through Gastrodon after screens drop>Luxray clicks random buttons at all times, often doing asinine shit like using Throat Chop or Ice Fang against Mawile. The only thing it will not do is use Wild Charge against Gastrodon for obvious reasons.>I initially tried Gyarados as my Intimidate bot to try and bait wild charges to give Gastrodon more free switchins. It doesn't make any difference; the AI will click random buttons all the same despite the x4 electric weakness and Mawile gets 1 extra switchin on average with good chip damage rolls due to typing+slightly better physical bulk.>Leveling up Bronzong and Blissey midfight is part of the strat; sometimes you need a second light screen setter and metal sound will force progross against Electross who will sometimes opt to just click Giga Drain against Bronzong to waste screen turnsMy team was not prepared for this in the slightest and I fell back on the gayest wincon conceivable with the mons I had boxed unless I wanted to go grinding a specific counterteam, which I wasn't interested in doing.
