>>12211217>Shit nigga all mysteries solved are you some kind of detective or something? CYOAOTYAs you mourn in front of the statue, Rigel places a hand on your shoulder, "So...Now you know what it feels like to lose a loved one, right?"
You wipe a few tears from your eyes, "T-That's easy for you to say..Y-You didn't even know your daughter..."
Rigel looks up at the sky again, "Yeah well, I knew what I wanted her to be like. And in a way, that's what would have happened no doubt. I was ready for fatherhood, I knew I was going to treat her right, so in a way, it's like I did know her. Now that she's gone, I can only wonder what kind of things she'd be doing with her life right now.'
You pull out a flower growing in the grass, and place it in front of her grave, "I wonder what my mom would be doing right now.. Probably still working hard, hard as hamburgers to ensure that I would have a good life on my own..." you sigh.
Rigel feels that heartstringing tug again, and he's not sure whether he wants to regret this one or not.
"Caesar, why don't we go get some ice cream...or something."
You turn to face him, "Really?"
"Yeah. . . Just don't cling to me though. I gotta keep a high social authorial level."
"Uh...Got it."
With that, the two of you exit the graveyard, and the last thing you see of it is the statue of your mom, and the glistening river behind it.
In some ways, there was a reunion. In others, a reminder.
>And when you least expect it, it comes flying at you like a brick, and it's then when you have to come to terms with yourself, that no one ever realizes what they have until it's gone, gone for goodIt looks like you won't be keeping that promise.
"Well...Looks like it's time to descend into the darkness." you say aloud as you head back to Lavender.
That's a promise you can keep.
