>>32765372If Game Freak really do that with effort, they would easily sell over 15 million copies and possibly surpass Pokemon Red/Blue.
Now think for a moment:
- The Switch has the technical capabilities to run Skyrim, Breath of the Wild and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. That is an excuse they can no longer give.
- Switch game means each copy will cost $60. The game will be more expensive, so that means the budget should be bigger.
- An Open World Pokemon game is what fans have been asking for a very long time.
- Nintendo would be the one who benefits the most of this.
So what I think is that Nintendo's development team should assist Game Freak with this one, and invest heavily in this game. A more attractive Pokemon game means more Switch consoles sold.
About an all-region game, it would be nice to see all regions reimagined in an open world fashion, with the ability of going outside the routes and explore everything that is in between, using the artistic licenses they didn't take in previous games. However I fear that cities would be too close each other if that happens, sacrificing details that could be spent in designing wild areas.
The thing I wish the most in a Pokemon open world game is the Pokemon interaction with their environment in a much richer way than a couple of sentences in the Pokedex. See how Pokemon run from you or try to intimidate you when you approach.
I doubt that they even try to do that though, most probable thing is they making just another iteration of the same game, slap some gimmick and market it as it was the hottest shit.
