>>49104220In my first ever Nuzlocke (Emerald), I had a Dustox that put in some serious work before dying to a freak grinding accident while I was prepping for the fight against Tate and Liza. The Beedrill I used in the Autismlocke of Red I just finished was also surprisingly good once he learned Twineedle. And speaking of that...
After consistently updating this thing a while back, I took a month-long hiatus to celebrate the holidays with my family. Came back, and kicked the Elite Four's collective asses.
>LoreleiCongo's always-critical Razor Leaf killed most of her team, and Marcel's Thunder Wave/Seismic Toss combo killed her Jynx and Slowbro. Funnily enough, she was the biggest threat and came the closest out of everyone to killing one of my bros. I didn't really have a solid answer for her Jynx, and her Thrash did a surprising amount of damage to my Mr. Mime.
>Brunolol
>AgathaDarmani killed most of her team by himself, and only failed to solo her because I opened with Marcel out of fear of Gengar killing him thanks to his piss poor Special stat. He killed her other Gengar on accident, because Agatha switched him in when I was trying to hit her Arbok with Earthquake.
>LanceCongo killed Gyarados, Knox slayed his other dragons.
>Final RivalDarmani killed Pidgeot and Charizard (related to that, Gen 1's Rock Slide animation is really cool and underrated), Marcel killed Alakzam after a tedious fight where he spammed Recover like a cowardly faggot, Knox Surfed Rhydon to death, Congo put in good work as the designated Gyarados slayer, and Zasp got in one good kill against Exeggutor.
>thoughtsIt was a bit harder than expected thanks to Gen 1's weird mechanics, but it was still really easy. Had I not been stupid with my Drowzee, this could have been the first Nuzlocke where nobody died.
Anyway, next game will be Gold and I'll save Blue and Yellow for later. Don't want to burn myself out on Kanto.
