>>33778898>You mock switching out but the truth is it really is that simple. If you see knock off coming fucking switch to a mega or z-chrystal user. Dusknoir doesn't appreciate getting hit by knock off either.Considering you'd want to build a balanced team for PU, what Pokemon would you switch in to take a Knock Off from the likes of Absol, Pawniard, Gurdurr or Shiftry? It is true that Dusknoir does not appreciate a Knock Off either, but it isn't deadweight afterwards. Also, like
>>33778693 pointed out, you can't see a Knock Off coming exept for a few staples and Dark types due to its wide distribution.
>This is true but that can be said for all walls such as chansey, doesn't make it less viable. The only thing dusknoir gets is a litte extra physical attack that is just barely average and loses a shit ton of bulk due to not having access to eviolite.Chanseys lack of offensive presence is the same problem Dusclops has. Chansey in contrast is viable because it has a good HP stat, access to better support moves and most importantly, reliable recovery. Dusknoirs attack stat may be average, but it can threaten set-up-sweepers by breaking their potential subs or revenge killing with Shadow Sneak (if their HP is low of course, base 100 isn't that great i'll admit)
>252+ Atk Tyranitar Black Hole Eclipse (160 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Eviolite Dusclops: 236-278 (83 - 97.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO. Wow and now we can pain split all the damage off. I'll have to give you that one, Dusclops being OHKOed by a Z-move is rather unlikely. Pain Split however is not reliable: It can be abused by switching out into a mon low on health and in late game when every mon likely has low health you won't recover any HP with it. Granted, its low HP stat helps it recover more HP than many other walls that try to use Pain Split effectively. Also, what will Dusclops do to retaliate after it sponged that Z-move?
