Alright so the first thought is that it should be a mammal or monotreme, because we have an invertebrate and a reptile
That leaves us with seals, sea lions, whales and platypi. We could extend the theme and have a mammal that doesn't usually live in the water, but I feel like that's a mistake
Also as is it doesn't seem like we necessarily have to do the "It's a platypus that grows a surfboard out of its ass" line
