>>51093667>limited to Pokemon from Gens 1-4>buggy as fuck, even during casual play without specifically searching for bugs>multiple sources of extra exp that weren't present in the originals such as multiplicative forced exp share, affection bonus tied to friendship, and exp from catching Pokemon. The trainers and gym levels are copypasted from the original, which weren't hard in the first place>the aforementioned affection bonuses include extra dodging, critical hits, removing status effects, and extra text boxes in battle, but you practically can't avoid this since Affection and Friendship stats were merged. Cynthia might be buffed but that doesn't make up for the other 99% of the fights>following Pokemon don't match your speed. Again.>doesn't improve on DP's samey encounter tables, especially in the lategame >no back button on the Poketch like in Platinum>world tiles are essentially identical to DP, but movement is primarily 360 degrees via Left Stick, which bumps you along corners frequently>Dens exist with some Pokemon from the Platinum encounter tables, but if you're concerned about rampant unavoidable overlevelling, you'll be incentivized to not catch them until postgameThere's probably more to add
like how many people think the game looks ugly, but that's very subjective but I firmly believe BDSP are the worst games in the series, and they're the only games I couldn't force myself to finish. Contests and Dens are probably the only real improvement from the originals.
I don't give a shit if it's ILCA's fault, Masuda's, Omori's, or GameFreak as a whole. It's a bad product, certainly not worth the $60 price tag. That said, like the game as much as you want. No one is stopping you.
