Even before it was spammed to hell and back, it was never particularly well received here. Many consider it a disappointment to the previous too but I've always felt like it completed a sense of progression in the line quite nicely. Maybe not the exact thing I expected, but most Pokemon aren't and for me that's half the fun. Plus its cute.
