>>45142186Gates was hated because it's removed most starters (Only had Pikachu, Unova's starters, paid DLC and various pokemon. The story was pretty weak compared to Time/Darkness/Sky. It's also had a pretty slow text, and only made you get ONE SINGLE QUEST per run which made it a pain in the ass.
A lot of people who hates it didn't even play the game for sure, but its' still the weakest link in the series. Super at least gives you everything back, irons out the gameplay and let's you recruit everyone. I still need to finish out the post-game however, someone shill me into finishing it
