During some of my runs where I didn't (or couldnt) use Rock/Water mons, he can be pretty tricky to get through. Dragonite is pretty bulky and hits very hard, unlike in Gen 1 and 2 and getting through three of them without Ice Beam/Blizzard is a pretty daunting task.
But yeah, that's pretty much only if you don't have a Rock type, a Water type (with ice moves) or a Jynx/Mamoswine
