Taking what you want by force is one of the most basic and timeless urges that we as humans contend with. The golden rule of violence is the last and final resort available to anyone, and many find that by not having lived by it, they perish in their darkest hour.
Of course, "force" can mean many things. Money, power, raw strength, or ingenuity are all forces that can be used to acquire that which you covet. It's how you acquire a mate, especially.
