I was just gonna make it future me's problem but now that you bring it up I suppose you would cross reference who's in the offline with who's in your friend safari. Basically check how far down they are in your safari vs how far back they are in your friends list, seeing as the friends list is by date added. Then just go from there and hope for the best.
If i got any of this wrong feel free to correct me but I'd figure thats the best way.
