It really is morning, you think to yourself, mumbling the last words of each thought out loud. Still not realizing to turn back yet, you return your eyes to the back of the cave, seemingly darker now that you have exposed your eyes to a sunlight. In slow movements, you turn towards Pichu only to find his attention being elsewhere. With a sleepless night catching up to you, you follow his trail of sight over the lake. That’s right, it’s not just water, it looks like a pretty large underground lake. As your eyes skim over the water you notice the stillness of it all. Lost in the peacefulness of the quiet morning hour, you almost doze off again, but are stopped by Pichu once more. A small cry had leaped from his mouth, just loud enough for you to open your eyes. Seeing he’s still staring at the lake, you divert your attention to it one last time. And, in a dream-like fashion, your tired eyes gaze towards the lake. The tranquil water surface, still undisturbed.
