XY are my favorite Pokemon games. I adore them. I don't have any real reason to buy ORAS because 150 hours of playtime and I'm still having a great time breeding, putting cute outfits on my character, and doing everything there is to do in Lumiose.
The plot was eh, I agree it did deteriorate and end abruptly. I wish we had gotten more direct back story as well as plot development on Sycamore and Diantha. . I actually liked the rival and Shauna, the other two were dumb though. Team Flare was the perfect combination of goofy and menacing, I absolutely loved them.
I enjoyed the post-game Looker quests way more than I expected. Had an absolute blast.
The multiplayer is perfect. Extremely simple and fast, with no hoops to jump through.
Honestly the thing that bothered me the most about this game was the weather consistency. It didn't make any fucking sense, and no one seems to talk about it. Why are the trees full bloom in freezing weather? Why wasn't the entirety of west Kalos winter instead going Snow city (Anistar) two sunny routes and a town, and then Snowbelle City? And then the forest in Snowbelle wasn't a fucking snow forest. Rustled me so bad and still does.
