>>39913487The Mesoamericans (Mexico, Guatamala, etc) invented the wheel, they used it along with axels in toys, they just never really had a use for it for transportation because no beasts of burden to pull the carts, and even in eruasia the egyptians, mesopotamians,greeks, etc never invented the wheelbarrow, only the chinks did in 0AD
As far as Andean (peru, bolvia, etc) civilizations, they had llamas but they are sort of still shit for pulling carts and they lived in a literal mountain range with tons of steep inclines.
Frankly the fact both regions did as well as they did without much beasts of burden or direct trade with each other or other cradles of civilization is pretty impressive, it took 3000 years to go from Sumer to ancient Greece and that's with beasts of burden, trade between europe, the middle east south asia, and east asia; yet the Mesoamericans went from their first civilizations to essentially almost ancient greek level with the Aztec (who are way more complex then most peoplre give them credit for, see pic for instance) in a little under the same amount of time despite not having those advantages
