>>46811615I used it once as a kid, playing Blue. The water pokemon that I didn't use until I made a deliberate decision to do so was Tentacruel. Its just about the last water type you get access to in those games, and its common as sin so you wonder why bother.
Turns out it had an amazing special stat, which made it really great actually.
Come to think, the only Water type I don't think I ever used in Red/Blue was Seaking. Can't ever remember using it. I *think* I used both Dewgong and Seadra at one point but I am not anywhere near certain.
