>>56151741>>56144935Made a clean version of the art without logo.
I used Waifu2X to denoise the 1920x1920 version and cut out just the one bit to mask the logo.
Have also tried my hand at a 4K upscale
Logoless:

https://files.catbox.moe/ulnqyx.pngIt makes use of Waifu2X for color preservation and filtering, SwinIR 4x, R-ESRGAN 4x+, and R-ESRGAN General WDN 4xV3 for detailing.
Waifu2x as an upscaler stays closer to the source/truth, I use Photoshop's diffuse filter with a few overlaid layers to give a subtle bit of detail/texture to try and preserve the look. The other upscalers manufacture detail and are prone to altering colors.
A copy of that layer is also then turned black and white and used as a layer mask for the SwinIR / R-ESRGAN upscales to selectively add detail with lighten/darken blends, trying to get the best looking output whilst staying as close to the truth as possible.
Whilst there's no substitute for the true lossless source (if one exists), making smarter use of AI upscalers can produce some really nice results.
The individual AI upscale outputs can look crap by themselves though, but they're really useful for compositing work.
