What is the motives behind you having a relationship with *this specific* Pokemon. Is it really healthy to have a relationship with a Pokemon *you* own? The relationship started in a Master/Servant or Master/Student relationship (sometimes non-voluntarily even), so its really good to try and move that from that one-up-one-down power dynamic to a more romantic one? Is that even possible depending on the age and thought process of the Pokemon in question?
I think having romances with a Pokemon you own is very complex and very difficult. And its really because the relationship is not naturally an equal one from its bases. You have more control or power over them, they trust you and have a higher desire to make you like them (To fight harder or grow and evolve in some cases), its not the most normal friendship (not to mention you own them in a spherical cage that you keep in your bag or by your waist). So I dunno, its not so easy most of the time.
