The only Pokes that would cause problems are Lapras and Blastoise, but I Metagross can rape both of them, just throw stab Meteor Mash from good attack on Lapras and Earthquake on Blastoise. Metagross can survive their hits easily because he has okay bulk and Lapras and Blastoise have shitty offensive stats.
Steven has really crap team so I might be very wrong, don't really know a shit about battling anyway.
