Here's a "Surprise! I'm not dead!" update:
Currently grinding everyone up for Cynthia, Missy was and Bruno will be easy to train up because of all the water trainers before Sunyshore and Victory Road respectively, but there are few good grinding spots for Klar, trainers are either using water types, on routes that give an disadvantage to Fire Types, takes too long to charge the VS Seeker (hello snow routes), or are too low level to be worth it. But i am making progress, slowly.

>SpoilerI have done a run that ended at Lance, but i overall consider Red to be the true end, he does require a ton of grinding though. It's what you want to do end of the day.
