>>38817710>SMT games require more than damaging moves.Buffs and debuffs in the single player campaign.
This isn't true when you get into postgame and battle facilities, which SMT games have nothing comparable. And this doubly isn't to mention that Pokemon supports multiplayer both local and global within the games that not only up replay value but also require more strategy on the part of players to one up each other because the levels aren't imbalanced.
>Endgame enemies surpass the player's 99 level cap by tens of levelsThat's not fair nor is it clever.
>Being in a bad position is far more debilitating in SMT than it is in any Pokémon game. Not really but whatever. The fact that Pokemon lets you use items like Revives and Full Restores freely during the single player is indeed a blight on the difficulty, though.
>in Pokémon, each species has a massive pool of moves, including near universal access to Toxic, which is a guaranteed 6 turn kill on any Pokémon that doesn't have access to healing. You're correct about Toxic but prior to gen IV the movepools weren't really that generous, and the fact you only get 4 as opposed to SMT's more makes your choices more constrained.
Also, basically every boss trainer is programmed to use a full restore at low health, so Toxic can't be relied upon so heavily. But yeah, if your Pokemon are of a higher level, there's nothing stopping you from spamming heal until opponent Pokemon die from a status condition. But that would be incredibly boring for you if you did this.
>No single boss Pokémon, including Ultra Necrozma, is going to outlast you, if you have a Focus Sash on the Pokémon using Toxic and Sturdy on another.Yes, this is possible, but it'd be dull for you.
>You can literally bruteforce any game with your starter, even with a disadvantage.Definitely not fucking Black and White.
Maybe some games you can do this with, but by no means every.
Postgame battling offers a more involved experience in Pokemon than in SMT.
