OP here. Thanks to all the anons that had anything worthwhile to say. I'm emulating this since I don't feel like paying some asshole $100+ for the game. Its also easier to use cheats to enable all the features like challenge mode this way anyway. Went and found my old BW cart and used my CFW 3DS to transfer the save file to PC for Memory Link. Once I'm done I'll transfer my team back to the BW1 save, and send them to Home. I was never one to leave pokemon behind, and emulating this game won't change that.
