I have nothing against feminine Pokemon, but gendered starters are fucking stupid when there are only three of them and they're supposed to be your partner Pokemon. Good starters like Venusaur, Blastoise, Charizard, Typhlosion, Meganium, Feraligatr, Swampert, Blaziken, Sceptile, Torterra, Empoleon and Samurott are all gender neutral. Infernape, Serperior, Pignite and Greninja are a bit worse in regards to swinging both ways but not terrible. Delphox is CLEARLY a female design though.
It's the same reason Primarina is hated. Keep starters gender neutral, I don't care about shit like Salazzle but starters are literally always going to be 87.5% male and 12.5% female so design them that way. Even Incineroar is fucking stupid because it leans too much the other way.
