I'm not saying it has content no other game has, I'm just saying it has enough content that it holds up very well among other S tier games like Emerald and Platinum. That being said, there is some exclusive content that Crystal has:

>Apricorn ball crafting
>Bug Catching Contest
>Trainer House
>Ruins of Alph
>Room decor
>Second region
And the rest is just stuff that other games also have:

>Breeding
>Pokédex completing
>Shiny hunting
>E4/Red/Rival rematches
>Exploration
>Berry collecting
>Loads of sidequests
All in all, it has most things the newer games have, as well it's own exclusive little features too. It's just as complete a game as Emerald and Platinum, but I just happen to prefer Johto over Hoenn or Sinnoh.
