A skeleton crew of chinamen making a mobile app managed to take and tweak the models GF made and animated them to an almost professional degree, even if (so far) only a small chunk of Pokemon have been finished, with much less time and resources to their name. Yes, it's a gacha game, and probably won't succeed because of that, but the larger overall point is that it's still more effort than anything SwSh has to show visually.
THE most profitable franchise in the world is being manned by incompetent companies that don't see the value in a smaller but stable and consistent income over the eternal dangling grapes of infinite growth, and the result is this dumbass bootleg somehow looking more visually appealing than GF's (and I stress this next part) first mainline title on a full home console. It's embarrassing.
