I seriously love Stoutland so much, it's been a great help in so many runs through Unova and is such a solid design. It's just out of the ordinary enough to be interesting (that star pattern on its face, the excess of fur, its huge size) but not too wacky to break my suspension of disbelief. Herdier absolutely fucks so much of the earlygame alongside Watchog, and I basically had a Mabosstiff situation with one of mine in a Nuzlocke where I got really really attached and it ended up being the lone survivor of that tumultuous run despite having several near-death experiences. No matter how much "better" other dogmon may be, Stoutland will always be my favorite.>>53488457seconding this, but I'm biased because I have a poodle in real life.
