Started with a Squirtle and named him Anders. Once obtaining pokeballs I got a Pidgey on rout 2 and named him Birb. Got a Rattata on route 2 and named him El Rato. Accidently forfeited the Viridian Forest catch due to me mindlessly thinking about training up some levels and fainting thefirst of many Caterpies. Brock's highest is level 14, So I traind my team up 10. The first trainer in Brock's gym was surprisingly tough. Probably because Sandshrew and Diglet are just ground type and took 2x damage instead of Geodude's and Onyx's 4x. As I was progressing through the game, El Rato as killed by a Fearow's peck.
After conquering route 3, I managed to catch a Jigglypuff and named him, Tubbs. In Mt.Moon I captured GeoDude and named him, Rocky. My adventuers in Mt. Moon have been been dificult. Ander's and Birb evolved into their next stage, but we got our asses kicked, Hyperfang is a terrifying attack. Ander's got down to three HP while fighting that raticate, and I ended up swapping to Rocky. Rocky tanked it and I made it out of the cave. On route 5 I captured a Sandshrew and named him, Digga. In Hindsight, I wasted this name on a Sandshrew rather than a Digglett.
